Editorial Policy
How every listing on I'm Good Events is sourced, verified, and corrected.
Where listings come from
Every event is ingested from a public source: a ticketing platform API, a venue calendar, or an official municipal, tourism-bureau, parks or library events page. We name the source on every event page and link back to it. We never invent events, and payment cannot change an event's ranking.
Verification and re-checking
Listings are re-fetched from their source on a rolling schedule, and each event page shows the date it was last checked. When a source changes or removes an event, our next run updates or retires our copy.
Deduplication and separate performances
The same event is often listed on several platforms. We merge those records by normalized title, venue and start time and show every matched source. Different performances of the same show — a matinee and an evening set, or a multi-night run — stay separate listings, because they are separate events with separate tickets.
Times, prices and honest gaps
We never invent data to fill a blank field. A date with no published clock time reads "Time not listed" rather than a fabricated noon or midnight start. With no published price we say "Check website" and link to the official page, and we only label an event "Free" when the source explicitly says so.
Location accuracy
An event's coordinates come from its own venue, address, city, state and ZIP — never from the location you searched. Coordinates that conflict with the listed state are quarantined rather than shown, and unresolvable distances read "Distance unavailable" instead of an invented mileage.
Categories
Source categories are inconsistent, so we map each event onto one canonical category and show both labels when ours differs. Events we cannot confidently classify get an honest general fallback rather than a guess.
We do not hide valid events
Filters are windows, not walls. An event matching your date window stays visible even after it finishes — labeled "Ended" and sorted below upcoming results. Counts reflect every unique matching event and a "Load more" control reaches the rest.
Advertising and affiliates
Advertising is clearly separated from listings and never influences ranking. Sponsored and affiliate links are labeled where they appear, and ads are not shown on empty searches, loading states, error pages or redirects.
